Unable to associate a Child incident ticket to a Parent Ticket

Several tickets were rasied for the same issue, I have been unable to link them to a single Parent ticket, when I select related records within the incident there is an option to link the incident to a problem or  a change request, but not a parent incident.

I don't know if what I am doing is correct, or is there some additional feature or module that needs to be activated for the Parent-Child feature to work?

Hi Naresh,

 

You need to look for Related list & not field. Problem & Change will always have 1:1 relation with every incident record.

For incident try adding related list Child Incidents & then you can associate required incidents to the incident record to create Parent child relationship.

Also, if required you can add Parent Incident field on the form & update the parent incident for all child incident records.

Hi there,

Out-of-the-box, I believe this is not set up. 

You could easily do so by adding the parent_incident to the form, or working the other way around. By adding Related list concerning parent_incident and adding childs this way.
