Unable to delete NODE from VA Designer

Hello after adding User Input to a existing flow and attempting to delete it. I receive the following error:

I proceeded to try to publish the flow as is then receive the following error message:

com.glide.cs.qlue.module.designtime.compiler.convert.ConverterException: No definition for field: issue_for_who

Followed Community Thread: Virtual agent - Error No definition for field

• Checked if there were any conditions or decisions which was using the variable I have simply just added to the flow. Did not see it being used anywhere. 
• Went to sys_cs_topic to review the XML to find the variable. Unfortunately this table doesn't show unpublished details.

• Received the same error "This node cannot be deleted.." when pressing Delete on Table view

Anyone has an idea how to delete this node?

After following Community Thread: Discard/revert draft changes Virtual Agent Topic / Topic Block

The only way I could get rid of it was to revert to a previous version via sys_cb_topic table. Note must add "Versions" to relate list on form layout to do this.
