Virtual agent - if the users input is "hello how are you" or "hi", how can i configure the bot to respond back with a greeting

Hello,

 if the users input is "hello how are you" or "hi", how can I configure the bot to automatically respond back with a greeting, without creating a new topic.

Hi Trish,

 

We have a similar issue and had exactly this solution in place but the problem is that VA prompts the user with "You'd like help with Greetings. Is that right? " which is kind of silly. We have and need this prompt to be active for other custom topics but not for setup topics. Any ideas?

Hi - You may want to test the flags for topic confirmation in the NLU Configuration in Conversational Interfaces.
I get the confirmation prompt when I have both flags set:

I am not getting the topic confirmation for the setup topic when I have just the switch topic flag set:

With just the switched topic flag, I do not have a confirmation for the setup, but I do have it for my topic selection:

Hi All,
Is this possible that after initial greeting message in virtual agent if end user inputs 'hi', 'hello' so in response can bot  give him reply with different greeting message other then initial greeting message
