What is connection strength used for?

Hi everyone,

On CI relationships (tablce cmdb_ci_rel) there is a field called "Connection strength": does anyone know how it is used? There seems to be nothing in the wiki that I can find.

An unhelpful answer is that I believe it is not currently used for anything.

As for why it was created in the first place, I don't know. Hopefully someone else does.

I just did a search of the source code, and that field still isn't used anywhere. At this point, it's practially a certainty it never will be, since existing customers have surely used it for their own purposes.
