Hi Prasanthi,

1. ITIL User - Can perform standard actions for an ITIL helpdesk technician. Can open, update, close incidents, problems, changes, configuration management items. By default, only users with the itil role can have tasks assigned to them.

Please check link: Reference

2. End user may/may not have any specific role assigned to him. They may create records but not work on them.

If this helps, please mark my answer as correct/helpful.

Regards,

Archana

ITIL users (ITIL role) can perform standard actions for an ITIL helpdesk technician. Can open, update, close incidents, problems, changes, configuration management items. By default, only users with the itil role can have tasks assigned to them.

End users are all users in the system, they may or not have the ITIL role, they can request items, create incidents but can work on them

Please mark as helfful and or correct if this works for you

End user may not have a role but can still access system  and typically ITIL user will have a role and does work on the platform.

An ITIL user can read and write application data such as incidents, problems, and changes.

End-Users are normal users trying to access ServiceNow
