With the default settings, only the requester and people with Admin privileges can cancel change requests?

Can assignment groups cancel change requests?

Hi @ayano

ITIL access users and Change coordinators also have access to Cancel the Change Requests.

For example: If Assignment groups have ITIL or Change coordinators roles linked, then they have access to Cancel the Change Requests.

Please Accept as solution, if the information is useful to you.

Thanks,

Harish Kota

In ServiceNow's Change Management module, the ability to cancel change requests is controlled by roles and permissions. By default, only users with certain roles, such as the "admin" role or the "change_request" role, may have the privilege to cancel change requests. However, you can configure and customize these permissions based on your organization's needs.

Roles and Permissions:
By default, the "admin" role and certain other predefined roles have the ability to cancel change requests. The "change_request" role is often associated with change requests and may have permission to cancel them as well. However, ServiceNow provides flexibility to customize these permissions. You can create custom roles and define their permissions to allow specific groups, users, or assignment groups to cancel change requests.

Assignment Groups:
Assignment groups typically play a key role in managing change requests in ServiceNow. While assignment groups may have various permissions, including the ability to perform actions like "Work on," "Approve," or "Review" change requests, the ability to "Cancel" may or may not be part of the default settings, depending on your ServiceNow configuration.
