Why is the filter option "Is One Of" not available on every filter?

Needed documented help to understand why the "is one of" filter available only on choice type fields and not reference fields.

Hi,

As for the reference field you are referencing to a record not to a column/field value so its not possible to use "is one of" filter while using the reference field.

Although you can use a particular field that need to be checked and use "is one of" filter for the referenced once.

For ex. - You need to check some of the request (say 10) which are associated with the Task then -

1. Go to Catalog Task table (list view)
2. In the filter select "Show Related Fields" option (at last)
3. 
4. Then search for Request
5. Now in Request => Request fields search for number (this is the Request number)
6.  
7. 
8. Now search for number and Run
9.
