Why is the "Generate Time Cards" button not working on Time Sheet Portal? How does it work?

Good morning
In the ServiceNow Time Sheet Portal, why is the "Generate Time Cards" button not working. How does it work? On Clicking, why does it show "No time cards created". Please help me out.

Also, I guess, if we click on the Generate Time cards button, it should ask to which all tasks (as a search bar), do we want to create/add time cards, right? I am not sure, please guide.

Hi

Time cards are generated for the project tasks that are in progress or planned in that week and assigned to the user.

Navigate to planned_task.LIST and impersonate assigned to user. Make sure the user has timecard_user role. 

Thank you for the reply. May I know, why is the "Generate Time Cards" button on clicking shows "No time cards created".
Does it mean, that on the Left hand side under "Tasks" or "Group Tasks" section, if tasks are present, then only will it create time cards?
