regular users to be able to view past versions of articles after a knowledge update

Is it normal for regular users to be able to view past versions of articles after a knowledge update? When a knowledge article is updated, regular users can go back and view past versions of the article, even though the past articles are marked as 'Draft' in the workflow. Is this behavior and the fact that it can be viewed by regular users normal according to the workflow?

Hi,

Users should be able to view previous versions of an article if you have Article versioning enabled. However these articles shouldn't be in a 'Draft' Workflow, they should be in an 'Outdated' workflow. A draft should always "disappear" once the article becomes published, as the Draft will no longer exist. Previous versions of that article should then move to the Outdated workflow, and end users can still view these. By default your search results and permalinks should always bring you to the current version of the article, but previous versions are available from the version drop-down.

I understand that user should be able to see the old version and, the article status should be 'Outdated' workflow. Can you show me what it looks like the 'Outdated' workflow? Now in my ServiceNow, the workflow is being like the image I sent.

If you take your cursor to the circle, it will show you name of the workflow state. The one is your image, should be in draft.
