We have some knowledge articles that were inadvertantly approved with a Valid to date that has already passed or is coming up quickly. I checked them out and corrected the Valid to date but now there is a rogue version that is stuck in Pending Retirement. So it'll be something like this:
KB 012345 v. 1 Outdated
KB 012345 v. 1.02 Pending Retirement
KB 012345 v. 2 Published
We also have an example with an article that has been retired and still has a version that is Pending Retirement.
Has anyone had a similar experience and know how to correct it?

Thanks Sachin.
I also just discovered that if you retire the published article then republish it and it will fix the workflow.

You can run a fix script to retire these KB articles.
We also faced similar issue and fix script worked for us.
