Permalink is pointing to draft version of Articles (Utah release)

Is anyone else experiencing a change in the permalink functionality?  In that the permalink now points to a draft version of a published article.

Example; I have an article that its published version is 8.0. The article is being updated and has a version 8.01

When providing the permalink for the 8.0 version to users they are rendered/taken to the 8.01 "Draft" version.

There have been zero changes to the KBase  "Can Contribute" or "Can Read" in the last 4 years.

This is extremely worrisome in that an individual could prematurely execute scripts, commands, etc, that would lead to service degradation, business impact resulting in the loss of revenue given the draft content is just that draft not ready for consumption.

Anyone out there experiencing the same issue?  You may want to verify? as this is a very serious exposure.

Prior to this morning's spot check, permalinks for me still went to the most recent PUBLISHED version. My permissions have not changed. But, this is a good reminder to check it with folks who have different permissions.

Hey Sara, Thank you for your response.  Could you share what release of SNOW you are on ? please.

Looking at SN documentation, it does appear the permalink is supposed to point to the latest published version as opposed to the latest version a user can access.
You don't have to maintain the articles via their sys_ids when sending out the links to users, the permalink will always direct them to the latest published article.

As I recall, previously when clicking the permalink you would get the published version with a message that says "This is not the latest version, click here to view" and it would link to the draft/review article.

We are still on Tokyo and are also seeing this "new" behavior.

Hello Kim,    Thank you for the response. I agree with you.  Thank you for confirming this is broken functionality and not something we have caused in our environment.

Thank you for the response.  I am of the opinion that this is broken functionality.  A permalink should never point to a draft version of an article.  If you reference the Tokyo release documentation for the permalink it clearly states it should point to the most recent published version of the article.  Utah release documentation has that sentence removed, so was this an intentional change by SNOW or ?
