Hey me and my team are looking for ways to get better search results in our knowledge base and think that a complete synonym Dictionary would be a great start, the problem is that our base and users are Norwegian/swedish/danish but they mostly search in the norwegian language, so my question is how do we implement a Norwegian synonym Dictionary? Do we have to write it all ourselves or does there exist something we can import?

@Hegra,
Have you seen this and this Docs articles before?
Also, if it helps we have our own dedicated i18n forum here on Community here for such types questions (as it will alert my team with every new post),
Ultimately, to answer your question, currently Norwegian, Swedish and Danish have a limited supported capability but it is always growing with each family release. The way it then works if there is no direct synonym is that an exact match will be used when indexed,
- Side-note (you can either set up a global language fallback which is a system property for AI Search, or you can now set a per language fallback for each language in the UI, for example Danish can be set as a fallback for Norwegian which also benefits AI Search as well). I talk about that concept in our "In-Platform Language Support Guide",
Many thanks,
kind regards

My thought is that we shouldn't try to duplicate what's already out on the web. We have an article for a federal agency's acronyms, but it only provides a link that takes users to a website with all the acronyms so we don't need to create and maintain the KBA. Can you provide a link that goes to an online Norwegion Dictionary that has search field for synonyms?
