Hi All,
Since last week, every time I'm trying to paste a table to the html editor in a knowledge template, random horizontal borders gets thicker. I've tried editing the source code, removing the formatting and playing with the table properties, creating a table in ServiceNow first and them insert the rows from Word, but nothing helps. Comparing to tables published previously, it seems the table type changes along the way, but I don't know how because I've been doing this the same way all the time.
I know I could create a table in ServiceNow from scratch, but that is not an option as the tables need to be formatted according to the company standards.
Has anyone been experiencing a similar issue and maybe knows what and how happens?

Very good question, I can let you know what I do currently to see if it works for you.
If I have to do anything advanced with tables I first do it in a word document using MS office.
I find that when I copy and paste from word it formats much better on the articles. If someone has a different approach I would love to see that as well. So please keep the comments coming in on this question. 🙂

Hi Karolina - I've experienced the same issue. No idea why it happens though. I find editing tables in the HTML editor really difficult, especially around re-sizing. I may be doing something wrong but I find the process really clunky. I have reverted to editing the tables in Word (or adjusting source code), then copying in. I still get the solid horizontal bars as you describe, but at least I can get the table dimensions as I want them.
Sorry I cant offer a solution, other than to say, I feel your pain!

I so agree about the whole thing being clunky! It's a true nightmare to work with tables in the editor, I don't know how many hours I've spent just trying to configure a nice table. I'm not even asking our contributors to do it themselves, because the way it works seems so random and I don't want them to get as frustrated as I am.

I would just advise not to do it in word then paste. Word's idea of html formatting is very odd. Instead use the html editor that comes with Office (Expression Web) and then paste the html code into the source of your article.
