Installation on PDI

Hi all,

I'm trying to install this on my PDI but I'm not able to find it when searching "Legal" or "sn_lg_ops" in the application manager page (/now/app-manager/home).

I can see that others have already asked this question but it's not clear to me what the solution was 😞

The Legal Request Management application (sn_lg_ops) might not be available for installation on all Personal Developer Instances (PDIs); it is typically restricted to customer/demo instances or requires a specific entitlement from ServiceNow.

Why you can’t find it in Application Manager

- When you search for “Legal” or sn_lg_ops in Application Manager on a PDI, the app may simply not be listed because it is not included in the default PDI catalog.

- Some Legal‑related apps are only available via the ServiceNow Store and may require a paid entitlement, which PDIs usually do not have.

What you can do

- If you need this for learning or certification practice, I would recommend:

- Using a demo or training instance (e.g., via ServiceNow University or a partner‑provided demo) where Legal Request Management is pre‑installed or can be enabled.

- Confirming with your instructor or ServiceNow contact whether a specific demo instance is provided for Legal‑Ops labs.

If you want to play around with apps that are not available on pdis you can sometimes find a simulator on nowlearning. They are of course time limited (with extensions) but I haven't noticed any major limitations compared to pdis. Hope it helps

The core legal apps are available to be installed on PDI.  From Application Manager, search for 'Legal', scroll to bottom of results to 'ServiceNow Product' section... there will be Core Suite for Legal, Legal Request, Legal Matter, and Legal Application options.  You can optional select to install Demo data on each.  What is not available on PDI, are the 'Store Applications' such as Now Assist For Legal.

I get no results in the 'ServiceNow Product' section when searching "Legal". The only result I get is for the HR scoped app, under 'Family Plugins'.

Interesting... not sure why you cannot see.  I was able to access on a PDI associated with my personal email address as well as one work email. So I don't think a limitation there.

After opening PDI, I typed in 'Plugin' in from the 'All' menu search box.  It brings me to the Application Manager.  I search for 'Legal' and it shows me the LSD apps under the ServiceNow Product section. (screenshot attached for reference).  

If you are still not seeing...may be another issue?
