Stock Preclearance - Manually Open Trading Windows?

We are about to go live with the Stock Preclearance process in Legal Service Delivery. My understanding is that even though you set up Trading Windows in the system, a System Admin or someone with sn_lg_stock_cp.stock_config role has to manually click the Open button to open the Trading Window. Is that correct? It seems odd that a system that can automate so many great things would require human intervention for this. I'm sure there's some logic for why? Thanks!

Even with the Trading Windows set up, someone with the sn_lg_stock_cp.stock_config role must manually click the Open button to start the Trading Window. It seems unusual, especially given how many processes are automated. There might be a few reasons for this. It could be related to ensuring proper oversight or control over when the Trading Window is activated.

I’ve looked into preclearance rules for trading, and it can be tricky. Manually opening trading windows depends on your setup. If you’re working with a system that requires preclearance, it’s usually about showing your intent to trade before making moves so that they can check for conflicts or compliance issues.
