Page not found - Employee Center

I made a change to the Employee Center URL and now I'm getting a page not found.  We agreed to change the url for the employee center and I believe this change cause a page not found error.  Within the Service Portal pages I updated the OOTB esc to another url suffix.  When adding a banner to the content pages I cannot preview the page I get a url to page not found and it's pointing to esc.  I think it's safe to say that it was caused by the change to the url.  Is there a way to fix this?  And would you suggest that I just change the url back to esc and create a entirely new Portal?

I think internally somewhere it might be using hard-coded name i.e. esc and hence it's breaking somewhere.

you might have to debug further.
