Posts/comments going into moderation

I'm fairly new poster, I suppose, but it seems all my questions are getting moderated. Is this because I'm new, or someone reported me, etc? I ask because it just slows the whole process down.

It would be helpful if it was possible to edit/delete posts waiting for moderation.

Yes, it would be great if what criteria must be met to end moderation of one's post here be disclosed. I can't edit or delete a post in moderation. I can't delete one cleared and posted to a thread either.

I don't think it's a secret. From memory only a user's first three posts are supposed to require moderation. But clearly in your case there was a glitch in the system. Hopefully that's fixed now?

As for deleting published posts, that should be possible unless/until someone comments on the post, at which point only an admin can delete the post. Does that match up with your experience?
