ServiceNow Agent vs ServiceNow Agent Intune - Push Notification Installations Record Concerns

Hi, I've been looking around through the docs but can't seem to find any information that helps me.

I have 2 different questions.

 

I'm currently trying to understand more about the differences in the ServiceNow Agent app vs the ServiceNow Agent Intune app. Both can be setup in our Intune and pushed to our users. I've been working on building a Branded app through Mobile publishing and we are able to Brand either the ServiceNow Agent or the ServiceNow Agent Intune versions. So first question is I'd like to know more about the raw differences between the two since both can be pushed and installed through Intune.

 

The second question is, I've built both version of the Branded Apps and did some testing. When it comes to the Push Notification Installations (sys_push_notif_app_install) which maps a User to a Push Application (sys_push_application) to a specific user's device when they log into the app. I've discovered something I didn't expect.

 

When a user has the public play store, ServiceNow Agent app installed on their device and log in,

The Installation record maps the user to the ServiceNow Mobile Application (SkyNowPushApp) application as you would expect

 

When a user has the public play store, Servicenow Agent Intune app installed

Thee Installation record maps the user to the ServiceNow Intune Mobile Application (SkyNowIntunePushApp) as you would expect.

 

When a user has a Branded, ServiceNow Agent app installed, It maps to ServiceNow Mobile Application (SkyNowPushApp) as you would expected

 

But when a user has a Branded, ServiceNow Agent Intune app installed, It maps the user to the ServiceNow Mobile Application (SkyNowPushApp) application. Why is this. Shouldn't this map the user the the ServiceNow Intune Mobile Application? As the branded app was compiled against the Intune version?
