I want the below two names to be translated into French
Title field which as "Task" and the Screens field which as the "Reception"
I created an entry in sys_translated table
for "Title" i mentioned the following field values
Table:-sys_sg_icon_section
element:-title
language:-fr
value:-Tasks
Label Translate:-Tâches
Still the title is not translated
Am i Missing something?
Note:- Its a custom application , i tried creating the Translation record in global as well as custom application but still it didnt work

@Sebas Di Loreto,
You can just navigate directly to [sys_documentation] and filter for the right "table", "element" and language, as UI translations are just data in the 5 tables (no need to go to the Dictionary entry),
Many thanks,
kind regards

Agree but for a person that is starting with SN and asking the question above, it is a lot better to understand by going the dictionary entry way and possibly seeing other things that can help... like tips/hints, etc.
If I helped you with your case, please click the Thumb Icon and mark as Correct.

@Sebas Di Loreto,
For a person learning that's why we have the "In-Platform Language Support Guide" linked above, our dedicated forum (linked above) and our Localization Learning path on NowLearning as well as our dedicated CSC page (which has a targeted workbook for certain personas),
It's a massive topic that covers the entire platform and knowing the theory aspects (before the technical aspects) is the key as there are various requirements depending on what Language the translations are for (e.g. the avoidance of concatenated strings vs word length ratios affecting the UI),
More than happy to discuss in more detail if you're ever interested as I'm always keen to focus our next content for all skill levels,
Many thanks,
kind regards
