Business Crit determined

We would like to update the "Business Criticality determined" on the business process table when related BIA is approved , I would like to understand if there is any calculations automatically happening or if the values may be referenced in some internal processes downstream.

Business criticality determinedComputed criticality of the business process based on the assessment of the subprocesses. The choices are the following:
  • 1- most critical
  • 2- somewhat critical
  • 3- less critical
  • 4- not critical

My PDI doesn't have this logic installed, so I don't know for sure, but it also depends on what it is you want to change. Do you want to only update the labels (keep 1-4), remove options, add options or completely change it?

Labels are easy to update, as long as the value stays the same. Changing '1- most critical' to 'Explosive danger' won't change anything to any underlying logic (it will still look at '1', just show a different display value).

If you want to remove choices, just inactivate them. They won't be visible anymore and any underlying logic will just not run because of the option not being there anymore.

Adding options could mean you need to do a deep dive into the logic, because if used anywhere, you will need to amend it to also check on the new options.

Depending on your exact requirement you either can just do it, or, hopefully, someone else will give you the information on that underlying logic and you can adjust it.
