Hi @bhavana-s,
Some imp OOB BCM components include:
Business Impact Analysis (BIA): OOB forms and workflows to identify critical business processes and their dependencies.
Business Continuity Plans (BCP): Templates and records to document recovery strategies and procedures.
Exercises: Tools to plan and execute BCM tests (e.g., tabletop, functional exercises) to validate plans.
Crisis Management: Features to manage real-time events, activate plans, and communicate with stakeholders.
Dashboards & Reporting: Pre-built dashboards providing a real-time view of BCM program status, BIAs, and plan health.
Configuration vs. Customization:
Most of the BCM module is highly configurable through guided setup and established data structures. You can easily:
Configure Forms and Lists: Add or remove fields from BIA, BCP, and other record forms and lists using standard platform tools like Form Layout and List Layout.
Define Data: Populate foundational data like departments, locations, and assets, which are then used in BIAs and plans.
Adjust Workflows: Modify the approval processes for BIAs and BCPs using the standard workflow or Flow Designer editors.
Manage Notifications: Configure when and to whom notifications are sent for plan reviews, exercise assignments, and crisis events.
While you can perform deep customization (e.g., creating complex scripts, new tables, or entirely new logic), it is often unnecessary as the OOB module is designed to be flexible. The best practice is to leverage the standard configuration options first to align the module with your organization's BCM methodology.
