How do I enabled this smart feature for the navigator

In my PDI, the navigator search works far more intelligent than in our production systems.

If I mistype a little bit in the PDI, it still finds the menus:

In our own instances it needs contiguous text

@XvE

From Yokohama onwards ServiceNow has new feature because of this this must be happening

Production must be on older release

Seems you need to update "glide.ui.polaris.nav_filter_accuracy_score" to 100

Hi @XvE ,

In PDIs the navigator often uses the newer AI Search with fuzzy matching, which is why uid set can still find “Guided Setup” even though the text is not contiguous.

In many customer instances, the navigator is still using the older, stricter search configuration, so it only matches contiguous, correct text and uid set returns nothing.

To get the “smart” behavior, AI Search (with fuzzy search enabled) needs to be activated and indexed on that instance, and the navigator has to be configured to use it instead of the legacy search.

Thanks

Hello @XvE ,

To enable AI Search in the ServiceNow application navigator (Next Experience UI), activate the "AI Search for Next Experience" plugin, then navigate to AI Search > AI Search Status to enable it. Ensure "Unified Navigation AI Search" is active in your search application configuration to enable intelligent, context-aware search results .

Hi  ,

@Omender Singh That was what I was expecting as well.

However in a PDI, AI Search is not enabled by default, so I would have to request the plugin first:

2026-03-18 08_33_12-2026-03-18 07_56_34-.png - Greenshot image editor.png

glide.ais.query.search_operator was set to AND_OR in our instance, but changing it to AND_OR_ENHANCED didn't help

AI Search has been enabled in our own instance.

@Aditya_hublikar , the plugin is installed (most recent version) in our instance, but there is no AI Search Application "Unified Navigation AI Search".

There is a "Unified Developer Search Configuration" but that is in a private application and I can't edit it, besides that is set to Zing in the PDI as well.
