Employee Center after enabling/configuring Now Assist.

Hi Everyone,

I am facing an issue with Employee Center after enabling/configuring Now Assist.

Previously, users could see the Virtual Agent chat icon/launcher on the Employee Center portal and were able to interact with Virtual Agent topics through the chat experience. However, after enabling Now Assist licensing and configuration, the Virtual Agent icon is no longer visible.

Current observations:

• Now Assist is enabled and working.

• The homepage displays "Ask Now Assist for help or search".

• Virtual Agent plugins are installed.

• Assistant Designer is available.

• Virtual Agent topics are active and published.

• The traditional Virtual Agent launcher/chat icon is no longer displayed.

My questions are:

1. Does enabling Now Assist automatically replace or hide the traditional Virtual Agent launcher in Employee Center?

2. Is there a supported way to display both Now Assist and the Virtual Agent chat icon together?

3. Are there any properties, plugins, or Employee Center configurations that need to be updated to restore the Virtual Agent launcher?

4. Has anyone encountered a similar issue after enabling Now Assist licensing?

Any guidance or best practices would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @SatyamS81441163 

Once you activate the plugin on Now Assist and Virtual Agent, it should automatically be enabled on the ESC portal as well. There is no separate configuration required.

You might want to try repairing the ESC plugin once and then check if it works.
