Hello,
I am setting up the SharePoint External Content Connector. I have ran a full document crawl and a user mapping crawl. Both have completed and have found various documents. 151 of those documents have been indexed.
My problem is creating the index and search source as I have no idea what table these 151 documents are stored on, or if they are even stored on a table?
I have looked through sys_db_object to try and find relevant tables but cannot find any. I did find the user mapping table which does contain data.
If anyone can help, it would be really appreciated.

Hi,
Yea if you go to the ais_datasource table you should see a Index called "SharePoint Online". You can't see any of the records since they aren't stored within SN but you can use the index source and link it to a search profile.
You should be able to ask Now Assist sharepoint related queries and get answers.

Have you done a user mapping crawl? You need to be impersonating a user that is on the user mapping list.
Also have you added the index source to a search profile?

Hi everyone,
Has anyone found a solution to this issue?
I’m facing a similar situation as @kaustubhdub — I’ve completed the SharePoint crawl and got dozens of documents indexed, but I can’t search for any of them in the ESC portal. I’ve also verified that the Search Application, Search Profile, Search Source, and Indexed Source configurations are all set up correctly.
Also, is it expected that my Search Source shows 0 records?
Thanks in advance for any insights!

hey @Hugh 111,
ya, i was able to solve the problem. Actually, the problem stands with as you need to make a user crawl as well and the user with the permission on your SharePoint should also have a user on the servicenow for the mapping. And so when you now impersonate the said user on the servicenow and then do the search you will be able to see the results.
If this helps you, please mark this as helpful😋. Hope this might solve your issue for any further help please do comment and ask.
