Adding AI Summary Card to a CSM Case form in UI Builder

We have recently installed Now Assist for CSM and used the OOB skill for Case Summarization.

This works great in Core UI, but because (I am assuming) we have quite a heavily customised CSM Workspace Case page, the Summarize Case button isn't appearing in the workspace.

I have tried, in UI Builder, to add the AI Summary Card component that I see in other pages, but it's not there to add from the list.

Attaching a couple of screenshots showing it in another page (not the page I want) and that it isn't there to add from within the component list

How can I get that component into my case page? Is there a way outside of UI Builder?

Hi @Mark Tanser ,
Is "AI Summary Card" UI action ? If yes, check for UI action  "workspace From button" should be check and "Format for configurable Workspace" should be checked as per attached screenshot.

No - it's a component in UI Builder

Hi Mark,

Can you try Now Assist Context Menu component in the UI builder???

We are currently using the Record Default Page Variant, where the Case Summary box is not available. Upon analyzing the configuration, we found that the Details tab is not built using a page collection or similar structure — instead, it pulls content directly from a data source.

Due to this setup, it's not feasible to add the AI Summary component to the Details tab within this variant. If you're looking to use the AI Summary card, it's recommended to switch to a different page variant where it is already configured — such as the Front Line Case page variant.

Alternatively, you can view the case summarization box by assigning the role sn_cwf_wrkspc.frontline_agent. However, this changes the workspace view due to the variant switch, and many of the existing UI actions and customizations may not be visible. This approach is suitable only if your workspace has minimal customizations.

Hope this helps others facing a similar challenge!
