In PDI you can't get access to either if AI Agent nor to Now Assist.

 

"Now Assist" refers specifically to ServiceNow's AI-powered platform feature designed to enhance user productivity within the ServiceNow platform by offering proactive suggestions and conversational interactions, while a broader term like "AI agent" encompasses any software program that uses artificial intelligence to autonomously perform tasks or interact with users, potentially across various platforms and functionalities, not just limited to ServiceNow

To access the Now Assist menu in ServiceNow, ensure that the relevant Now Assist plugins are activated in your instance. Here's how you can do this:

 

 

1. Verify Plugin Activation:

  • Navigate to System Applications:

    • In the application navigator, go to System Applications > All Available Applications > All.
  • Search for Now Assist Plugins:

    • Use the search bar to look for plugins related to Now Assist, such as Now Assist for IT Service Management (ITSM), Now Assist for Customer Service Management (CSM), or others relevant to your organization's needs.
  • Install or Activate Plugins:

    • If the desired plugin is not installed, click on it and select Install. If it's already installed but inactive, click Activate.

 

 

2. Access the Now Assist Menu:

  • Refresh the Application Navigator:

    • After activation, refresh your browser or the application navigator to update the menu items.
  • Locate the Now Assist Menu:

    • In the application navigator, type Now Assist. The related modules and menus should now be visible, allowing you to access various Now Assist features.

 

 

Note: If you're using a Personal Developer Instance (PDI), access to Now Assist features may be restricted. As of recent updates, Now Assist is primarily available on customer instances and may not be accessible on PDIs.
