Licensing cost for customers for utilization of Now Assist Agents

Hello Community,
I am developing a product in a Custom Scope that will be published to the ServiceNow Store. Our goal is to leverage Now Assist's Generative AI (including Agentic AI) to build specific business solutions—for example, automatically setting Work Order priorities or retrieving specific documents tied to Assets.
I am using Now Assist for Creator on the development side, but I need clarity on what this means for my end customers’ licensing requirements .
Questions:
  1. Module Dependencies

IF use  NOW Assist ITSM agents then to use them the customer has to buy ITSM license ?

2. Product Strategy: Should I avoid using out-of-the-box (OOTB) Now Assist ITSM/FSM AI Agents to ensure my product can be used by customers who only have a custom app/App Engine ecosystem?

 

3.Other Costs: Beyond the "Assists" consumption model, what other licensing fees (e.g., App Engine, Creator Plus) should I account for when calculating the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for my customers?

 

Most of customers don't have ITSM or FSM license . Ultimate goal is the make sure product is built on a eco system that can be used by customer and they don't need to spend more on licensing

Hi,

Please understand that the community people are mostly non-ServiceNow-employees.

So most have not extensive insights into the licensing models, and the licensing models also change from time to time, therefore it makes it hard to answer these type of questions.

I would advice you to contact your ServiceNow sales partner/contact, or whatever title is on SN personnel that you engage with when working on a Store app.
