My library Knowledge Sources To Go is very popular, but it was intended mainly as a thematically grouped guide to standard sources and was provided by me as a PDF file. For certain topics, however, there is so much content that I can no longer include it in that document, as it cannot continue to grow forever.
For this reason, I have decided to handle such topics in individual community articles like this one instead.
What is the Next Experience?
Next Experience delivers a next generation, intuitive, personalized experience to drive productivity, improve engagement, and surface insights across the Now Platform.
Next Experience unifies the apps in your instance. Unified Navigation enables you to access content across your instance in a single pane, simplifying access to the items you need to get working. Access UI16 lists, forms, and dashboards in the same pane as your Workspace. Contextual navigation shows you where you are while you're working.
The Next Experience UI:
- Empowers service delivery teams with targeted, purpose-built tools and information in a single pane.
- Simplifies work for end-users with personalized, context-driven information and resources that reduce clicks.
- Reveals insights and deliver intuitive information based on historical information and context.
- Empowers users with low-code or no-code abilities to create and configure engaging experiences.

Disable modals shown on login after San Diego upgrade
Noticed after the San Diego upgrade, that two different modals are presented after first login? Modals which are presented to every user. Sure it's only one click for every user (on the next login the modal will not be presented anymore), though personally I find modals like these really annoying and last week this was also asked twice on the Now Community. Let's dig into this! Just a short article on how to prevent these modals.

Change the header's background color in the Next Experience
While you can configure a corporate logo in the Next Experience UI as usual, this no longer works with all the other UI colors. However, many customers would like to adjust at least the background color in the header - on the one hand, to bring in their corporate color here or to better differentiate the individual environments. To help you with the background color changes I have added a small Update Set to this page.
