Schedule in Change Request

What is the use of Schedule in Change Request ?

Like if I select a time interval then the authorized person has to add change within that time limit only ? What if he/she doesn't apply change in that time interval ? Will there be any warning message shown or they would get any mail ?

I am not clear with the schedule... The main question is what will happen if change is not applied within that time interval ?

Can anybody please help ?

There are 4 date fields

1. Planned Start Date - Once change is discussed in CAB date is selected & becomes approved time whenn implementation for change will start.

2. Planned End Date - Once change is discussed in CAB date is selected & becomes approved time when implementation for change will end.

These you can consider to be approved dates that actions should be performed.

3. Actual Start Date - When Implement button on change is clicked it will autopopulate date in this field. Ideally, this has to be anytime after Planned Start Date value.

4. Actual End Date - When deployment is complete & Review button is clicked it will be autopouplated with date automatically. Ideally, this has to be anytime after Planned Start Date but before Planned End Date.

There is no check or mail sent if dates are not in approved date (Planned Start & Planned End). However, purpose is to ensure it is within as platform may have some internal audits depending on business needs.

The main question is what will happen if change is not applied within that time interval ? -- Nothing from platform will happen automatically OOB. However, if needed you can enhance it as per your need.
