What is the Service_Task table used for

Hello,

Does anyone know what the Service_task table is used for?   We have a requirement from the business to have a IT Task form so full fillers can route to one another without going to SC.  I would rather use this then create a custom app since all the fields are OOTB.

When you create a table through Service Creator, the new table extends Service Task [service_task] table.

 

Service Task table extends Task [task] table. They are almost same but Service Task has workflow "Service Task Processing".

 

The workflow is kicked when a ticket is inserted then handles assignment, approval and notification based on settings of Service Creator.
