Hello community,
Is it okay for people to construct performance analytics in ServiceNow Production instance without needing to go to DEV Instance?

Hi @AMIRULHAKIM ,
From my point of view, ,you are free to configure PA on a sub-prod environments but in most cases the sub-prod does not have any reasonable data and your configuration might be then wrong after you migrated your sub-prod config to production and check it there. This will require an additional round of configuration on sub-prod and a release to production - and nobody wants to wait for a PA configuration for the next release in your release and deployment cycle.
So I would also recommend to do the PA configuration in production. You can directly work on reasonable data and get an immediate feedback if your configuration is right or wrong. PA offers a couple of configurations which help you to not show a new indicator which should not be published.

Hi @AMIRULHAKIM ,
You're only moving from PROD to DEV when you clone - not through update sets. When you're updating with update sets, it should go from lower instances to PROD - not the other way around.

Thank you for your view, I would also like to know if it's possible to move our performance analytics constructed dashboard from PROD instance to DEV instance of ServiceNow? Do we use update sets for that? Do we need admin role. We would like to have a copy in DEV that's why.
