Dashboard Auto refreh on TV when screen shared from laptop

I’m trying to set up a dashboard to display on a TV screen for continuous monitoring, and I’m looking for the best way to handle auto-refresh and session timeout.

Current setup
A ServiceNow dashboard (PA dashboard)

Displayed on a TV (either directly via TV browser or through a connected device)

Requirement is to auto-refresh the dashboard at regular intervals (e.g., every 1–5 minutes)

What I’ve tried
Using URL parameter:

&sysparm_refresh_interval=60
This works in some cases, but not consistently across all environments/devices

Challenges
Auto-refresh reliability

TV browsers or certain setups don’t always honor the refresh parameter

Need a stable way to ensure continuous refresh without manual intervention

Session timeout

After a period of inactivity, the session expires and the dashboard stops updating

Looking for ways to handle or mitigate session timeout for always-on displays

What I’m looking for
Recommended approach for reliable auto-refresh on dashboards used for wallboards/TVs

Best practices for handling session timeout in long-running display scenarios

Whether others are using:

Browser extensions / scripts

Kiosk mode setups

Dedicated devices instead of TV browsers

Any guidance or patterns that have worked well in similar setups would be really helpful.

Thanks in advance!
