Dashboard breakdown with hierarchical data

I am using a breakdown PA dashboard in my client and he has a very strong requirement. He want some 'filters' that work all over the dashboard (all tabs) and those filters use hierarchical data. Then when in the first filter an element is selected, the second filter shows only elements whose parent is the one selected in the previous filter.
Interactive filters with cascading filters are not an option because they don't work with my PA widgets and they don't work for all the tabs in the dashboard.
Dashboard breakdowns (in the dashboard properties), on the other hand, work for all the tabs in the dashboard but they are breakdown sources (not even breakdowns) so there is no the possibility of defining a breakdown relation at this level.
Anyone can give me any other option or workaround?

Thanks for your reply but I have already taken thar course and it does not quite fulfil the request. Breakdown relations are used in the Integration Hub only.
As mention previously, the breakdown in a breakdown dashboard (those set in the dashboard properties) are breakdowns sources, therefore they don't even support relations among them.
I need to know if there is a way of having filters on a dashboard that work on all the tabs at the same time and allow cascading filter on hierarchical data
