Should I create new Performance analytics widgets

My team has created an application in ServiceNow, and would like to use performance analytics.  We are on the Xanadu version and will move to Yokohama soon.  Since classic reports and dashboards will be deprecated from the Zurich version, should we create new performance analytics dashboards and widgets or using the platform analytics dashboard and visualizations?

Hi,

I would suggest to migrate to Performance Analytics. We moved to it last year and it has more flexibility than the classic version. It does need some inderstanding of how it works. Here is a flow diagram that I found to be most usefull:

i think (according to your post) that there are something that you have misunderstood. You’re asking if you should utilize performance analytics or platform analytics - but these have two different capabilities and shouldn’t be compared. The right question here is, which type of reports that you would like to create? Are they metrics by month etc. by when run.

I realize my initial question was misleading.  Our team want to use performance analytics, and we are creating indicators, break downs and jobs etc.  Question is when to create widget or visualization we would like to know if we should use performance analytics widget and dashboard, or use the visualization capability from the platform analytics.

 

Hope this explain my dilemma.
