Breakdown applied to report in dashboard

Hi everyone,

I created some reports in ServiceNow and added them to breakdown dashboards. I would like that, when selecting an element (filter), the information in the report to be also filtered by that specific element.

I guess there should be some settings to allow this to happen.

Could you please help me with this?

Please try the following steps:



  • First create an interactive filter and add the filter references to the tables (available starting in Geneva release)
  • Then got to the dashboard and click the gauge to manage your dashboard.
  • Go the the reference list Breakdown source
  • Open the breakdown source mapping, by clicking on the I icon (not the name of the breakdown)
  • Fill in the field Act as Filter with the Interactive filter just created and save it
  • Add the reports to your dashboard and make sure the Follow Interactive filter property is selected on the widgets.

This should be marked as the answer.   When you find this page it says "Not Answered" but this totally works.
