This seems rather elementary, though I have a question.
In the OOB PA Buckets, there is a bucket called Change Age Ranges (Days)
This has the following configuration OOB.
Name | Bucket group | Start | End |
00 - 01 Day | Change Age Ranges (Days) | 1.00 | |
01 - 05 Days | Change Age Ranges (Days) | 1.00 | 6.00 |
06 - 30 Days | Change Age Ranges (Days) | 6.00 | 31.00 |
30 - 90 Days | Change Age Ranges (Days) | 31.00 | 91.00 |
90+ Days | Change Age Ranges (Days) | 91.00 |
Why is there inconsistency in these?
The first row is named 00 - 01 and ends on 1.
The next row is names 01 - 05 and ends on 6.
30 starts on 31.
90 starts on 91.
Why doesn't the first one end on 2 since all the other rows are ending 1 higher than what is in the name?
It appears that the End number should match the next start numbers.
Though, the NAMEs don't all line up in this either.
The first three start numbers in the name field line up with the actual start number for that record.
Though, it is inconsistent with the next one (30 - 90 Days) where the start number on the record is 31.
The same applies to 90+ where the start number is 91.
The following came from the wiki showing the same formatting. In this example, why isn't 30-90 named 31-90?
Below is another example from a training guide.
The first three start by name with 0,1 and 6 as do the actual START values.
Whereas the last three start by name with 30, 60 and 90 but have actual start values of 31, 61 and 91.
What am I missing here?

Hi John,
You're not missing anything, but maybe this explanation on how the ranges works might help a bit.
Bucket ranges are inclusive of the Start value and exclusive of the End value.
Having said that, you are right about the inconsistency. I've noticed it too. I guess the only thing you have to do is change the labels. Maybe the PA development team can adjust these bucket group labels in Geneva? I'll check with them.
Cheers,
Vincent
