Calculating Averages in a Report

I need to creat a report that shows the average number of tickets the Service Desk creates per day. Is this possible, or do I need to have Performance Analytics?

You don't need PA for this.

you can configure below report.

Hi,

That shows me counts per day, but I'm looking for an average number of tickets per day over a given period, say a month, for instance.

You can have a look at Metrics. Out-of-the-box, already several metrics are available. 

In the Navigator:
"Metrics > Definitions". These define what is being captured.
"Metrics > Instances". The collected data.

 

This has limited capability than PA.But, this will work for your requirements.
