Create a report of both opened and closed tickets?

I'm currently being asked to submit daily ticket counts for a service desk, broken down by opened and closed per technician. So for example Tech A has closed 5 and opened 2, Tech B has closed 9 and opened 6, etc. I'd like this displayed as a bar graph, with each tech getting two columns. If possible, I'd also like to get a third column showing tickets of a certain date range closed, like 60+ days old. The biggest problem I'm having is not understanding how to combine incidents and tasks in one report, because when reporting off the task table I'm only able to see closed tickets, not "resolved" tickets. I'm not an admin, so there's only so much I can do. Can anyone help with this?

Hi Dimitri,

            You can do this by adding multiple dataset in a single report option.

follow below steps:-

apply filter 

here i am selecting group by as category you can select the field with Tech A

Now you save this report 

you will get the share option available their

click on that

select add dataset option

Give dataset name

source type

table name

apply filter condition as

and then you need to save the data set and you will get the result

Hey Dimitri,

 

In addition to Tushar's point,

First, create a bar chart report for all incidents grouped by Assigned to(for technician) that are closed and opened incidents.
