Data Visualization list does not offer a possibility to sort/filter

Dear all,

 

we tried to find this option, even checked the release notes for Zurich, but sadly not found.

Such filtering/sorting option is available everywhere, but not in Data Visualization.

Is there a chance this would be added?

Yes, you’re correct that Zurich did not introduce sorting or advanced filtering for the Data Visualization list.
 
  • The Data Visualization list does not support column sorting or advanced filtering (for example by Updated, Created by, Last modified, etc.).
  • Only basic text search (name/description) is available.
  • This is inconsistent with classic lists, which do support sorting and filtering — and that inconsistency is widely acknowledged by the community.

This is confirmed by multiple ServiceNow Community threads, including one created very recently, where users explicitly verified that:

  • The feature is not present
  • It is not configurable
  • It is not mentioned in Zurich release notes

When ServiceNow migrated Platform Analytics to the Next Experience / Workspace-based UI, some legacy list capabilities were removed or not re-implemented, including:

  • Sorting by metadata fields (e.g. Last updated)
  • Column-based filtering
  • Saved list views
