Reporting on Multi-Row Variable Sets

Hello,

I have a user need to report on the amount of manhours worked this current year. They have a request built where they manually add hours in a Multi Row Variable set. We are unable to figure out how to get the total value of the hours worked. We can get a total number of tickets but not the value within.

We made a Database view for this in an attempt to report on it and are still unsuccessful. Essentially, we want the sum of the Value column, and we cannot figure out how to get to the Value column through reporting or platform analytics.

We appreciate your time.

Hi Rafael,

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I checked both of your links, and they are what I had used to set up the Database View at first, they're very good for that!

We're trying to essentially get a pie chart though that would show us the Sum of the Value column. I cannot for the life of me though Dot-walk to that column labeled Value in my previous screen shot.

The use case is we have a user that wants to report on Current year regular hours worked, Current year OT hours worked, Previous year regular hours worked, and Previous year OT hours worked for one of their catalog items. Within that item they have a multi-row variable set they can lines to to track hours/days.

They are used to tracking this in a pie chart so that was the goal, but we are willing to try any way to get them the Vaule sum of those respective fields.

I hope that adds more context but if you have questions let me know.
