Yes, you’re correct that Zurich did not introduce sorting or advanced filtering for the Data Visualization list.
The Data Visualization list does not support column sorting or advanced filtering (for example by Updated, Created by, Last modified, etc.).
Only basic text search (name/description) is available.
This is inconsistent with classic lists, which do support sorting and filtering — and that inconsistency is widely acknowledged by the community.
This is confirmed by multiple ServiceNow Community threads, including one created very recently, where users explicitly verified that:
The feature is not present
It is not configurable
It is not mentioned in Zurich release notes
When ServiceNow migrated Platform Analytics to the Next Experience / Workspace-based UI, some legacy list capabilities were removed or not re-implemented, including:
Sorting by metadata fields (e.g. Last updated)
Column-based filtering
Saved list views
