Does anyone know how to hide the new "Report editor" window

We've just upgraded from Istanbul to Kingston and there is no "Minimize" button for the end user like there was when it was the filter header. Any way to hide this? I like the new editor but want to hide it when using the report. Really just need a "Minimize" button.

Thanks!

We've had user complaints about this too and I did ask about it at Knowledge. Unfortunately there is no way to hide or compress it. It does help to hide the regular navigation area on the left though. Hopefully they'll change this in a future release, just poor use of real estate.

Thank you for your feedback.

Now, be careful with publishing since you don't need to log into the instance to view the report, you do have to log in if you want to click on the report and check further data.

But my point is that if the publish report shows sensitive information, anybody without instance access can see it.... just because you wanted a URL without the left editing section.

Good Day - I know this is an old question however I could not find another with the answer.
This is what I have found to work
1) Make a report
2) Add to the report a group by - any will do you can remove it later
(I used state - that way I knew I would have more then one group)
3) Save the report
4) Run the report and open one of the groups listed
5) The edit side bar should not be displayed
6) Add the open grouped report to your favorites using the triple bar icon in the top left of the report
7) Open the report from favorites - the edit side bar should be gone
😎 From the filter icon remove the group filter (if you want)
9) That should do it.
I hope this works for you.

I'm curious about what you did here.  Did the edit side bar disappear after you opened a group by group in step 4?  I'm not seeing the same behavior myself.  Thanks!

It didn't work for me either. I noticed that this process will create a list view of the group you click on step 4 using a RPTxxxxx view (not default view or anything like it).

Anyway, I don't think that RPT view does what we need.
