Drilling down from a single level report to a list opens in same window. How do I make it open in a new window?

When I run a report (like a bar or pie chart) with no additional drill downs, then click on a section of the chart to drill to the resulting list, it appears in the same report window:

This was not the case in my previous job's instance of ServiceNow - that opened in a new browser tab.

I have attempted to Ctrl-click but it still opens over the top of the report and if I have made unsaved changes (like I often do because I dont want to change the original report filter) I lose these changes.

Does anybody know whether there is a setting for reports to default to this 'new tab' method of default drill-down?

Hi Faith,

Under Reports module, open Properties and make sure you set the Property 'Opens drill down information in a new window or tab when user clicks a chart item, if selected' to True as shown below.

Hi Thomas,

If you have Report Admin role you can access these properties else ask Admin of your instance to enable this property.
