What edit permissions are required for the edit in designer link to show up for someone? It seems to depend on the user and the visualization. As an admin, I have one visualization where I can see "edit in designer" and another visualization where I cannot. A non-admin user who is the owner of a visualization cannot see "edit in designer" on it. I am noticing that the visualization with "saved visualization" in the header does have "edit in designer" available, but the visualization with "data visualization" does not. Is there a difference between a saved visualization and a data visualization?

Thank you! I hadn't been able to find this document, but this answers the first part of my questions perfectly.
What causing a sys_report record prior to migration to come through on a dashboard as a data visualization versus a saved visualization? I am seeing some of both and would like to understand the logic behind it, as I am confused why all these saved reports used on dashboards didn't come through the same way.

Do you mean that some reports are migrated as local dashboard data visualizations only while others are migrated to the data visualization library as saved data visualizations?

Yes, exactly. All reports on dashboard that were migrated through the Platform Analytics migration tool.
