Group By dropdown not working on PA Dashboard

Hi Everyone,

I am facing an issue in Platform Analytics and would appreciate any guidance.

I have a Column Data Visualization based on a table with an additional Group By selector configured for state and priority fields.

The visualization and Group By dropdown work correctly in my PDI (patch 3 Australia). However, in the instance (patch 5 Australia), although the Group By option (like Priority) is visible and selectable, the chart does not change after selecting it.

Interestingly, it works in Data Visualization and while editing the dashboard, but once added to the dashboard, the Additional Group By selection does not change the grouping.

I have already checked:

1. The table is OOB, so I also copied the working JSON from PDI (Australia Patch 3) to the instance (Australia Patch 5), but the issue persists.
2. I used Additional Group By instead of the main Group By because the latter makes the grouping fixed and cannot be removed/changed but I tried both ways but neither works when the visualization is on the dashboard.

I would appreciate if someone can help me on this. Thanks!

@AnupriyaC Thanks for confirming, Anupriya. Glad the version comparison helped identify the difference.

Our P2 case has been resolved by updating the PA plugin to version 8.4.8, as suggested by ServiceNow.

8.4.8?

I am facing the same issue but the newest version I can see on the Platform Analytics [sn_app_analytics_w] plugin is 8.4.6, which is already installed, but the issue remains.

Even after syncing with the Store, I don't see a 8.4.8 version.

Hi @sizzleMcFace ,

If you have access, you could try the 8.0.6 version of Platform Analytics. It might work in this version.

Have you tried the link I shared? It should take you directly to the plugin in the Application Manager of your instance:  8.4.8
Just replace the xxxx with your instance name.

Just to clarify for others: it is Not PA as in Platform Analytics (sn_app_analytics_w) plugin, which is on version 8.4.7. Updating "sn_app_analytics_w" will not solve the issue.
The plugin that needs to be updated is sn-dashboard (sn_dashboard) to version 8.4.8 or later, as the poster links to. After updating this plugin the issue was solved on our side.
