Has Anyone Successfully created a custom table and tried to create a proper graph ?

Hi Community ,

I am trying to ingest some straightforward counts for some breakdowns to create a pie graph . This was initially via a manual indicator and I changed the indicator to point to a custom table with some attributes that I learnt in the Best Practices video created by the Community Gurus .

The only problem I have is how to use my custom Date Field on the custom table to group data automatically in exact months if it is monthly indicator or daily if it is a daily indicator .

How is your date field created in the custom table? Is it created as a date field or any other type?

I was able to get this done . Seems pretty straight forward once you figure it out .
