Hi,
We have built a dashboard using the Platform Analytics module, leveraging a combination of Automated Indicators and Formula Indicators. Currently, the indicators are configured to retrieve data for a fixed time window of the last 30 days.
Our requirement is to allow users to dynamically control the date range directly from the dashboard, using a dashboard-level filter. This would enable users to view metrics for flexible periods—for example, a single day, the last week, or a custom date range of their choosing—without modifying the indicator configurations themselves.
What would be the recommended approach to achieve this in Platform Analytics?
We would appreciate insights or experience from others on how dashboard filters, date filters, and indicator configurations should be designed to support this requirement effectively.
Thank you.

It really depends on what kind of data you are showing and collecting. If you collect the created incidents over the last 30 days because of a trend analysis or something like that, you will always have the data over the last 30 days. To make filtering possible, it depends on what you want your users to see. The dashboard filters will reference to the dates on the records shown.
On data visualization level, it is possible to add some date range features. On dashboard level it really depends on what you are collecting and what you expect the date filter(s) to do.

Thank you for the response.
So currently, we are displaying a collection of Incidents that has been resolved in the fixed time of last 30 days, which has been configured in the Indicator sources itself. Also with a Scheduled Job to run the collection job in daily.
So basically, it means that at daily, a collection job will run to collect every resolved Incident in the last 30 days. And then display those Incidents in the dashboard.
And now what our dashboard users want is to have ability to dynamically change the date of the indicator sources from last 30 days to, for example, 1 week, or 2 months, or even 1 year.
Do you have any suggestion on this?

You can't, because your indicator source is collecting the 30 days. You can't filter on a different collection period if that's not what's being collected. You can filter on the data that is shown, not dynamically change what is being collected. That's a weird requirement.
