In Platform Analytics KPI Details Show Records - How do I export Records, Group on Fields, Add Field

I have Platform Analytics in our PROD environment. I have not yet migrated everything, but I have started using it. I have found a few things within the Platform Analytics version of the Analytics Hub for an Indicator (KPI Details in Platform Analytics) that are causing me problems:

1) How can I export the records after doing Show records? It's not a right mouse click in the header line as it used to be. I have done quite a bit of exploring but can't see how to export the records.

2) How do I customise the fields in the list view here? Depending on what I am investigating, I might need different fields available to make sense of a spike.

Perhaps I just missed where this functionality is?

I'm using Yokohama version and not seeing this "export" on my simple list reports. I only see the top right gear icon and refresh option. Is there a plugin needed to be updated for this?  yokohama no export button.png  ~Also the sn utils option mentioned above only shows the OOB table view and not the customized simple list fields when "classic view" option is selected btw, so that's not fixed yet.

The option to export in Yokohama is added only to records list on the KPI details. It doesn't apply to the simple list report in Y. Option to export list report is added in Zurich release. Meanwhile you can just drill down to full list from your dashboard and export data from there.

Base on my experience you should try do to:

1. Exporting Records from "Show Records"

Currently, there is no simple option to export records directly from KPI Details when you click "Show Records" in Platform Analytics ServiceNow Community. However, there is a workaround:

Chrome Browser Workaround: If you're using Chrome, double-click anywhere on the page when viewing the records, and you should see an icon in the list header that allows you to open the UI16 list view. From there, you can export and change columns using the traditional right-click method ServiceNow Community.

2. Customizing Fields/Columns in the List View

Similar to exporting, there is currently no direct option to customize the view or change columns in KPI Details ServiceNow Community. The same Chrome workaround mentioned above allows you to modify columns once you switch to the UI16 list view.

3. Where This Functionality Will Be Available

The good news is that improvements are coming:

  • ServiceNow confirmed they are working to support export from List visualizations in Platform Analytics dashboards directly, with this functionality expected in the Zurich release ServiceNow CommunityServiceNow Community
  • For List components, ServiceNow is working on improvements including pagination, export from the dashboard level, selecting columns in the configuration, alternative group-bys, and personalizing columns and filtering conditions ServiceNow Community
  • In Yokohama, the new List element (replacing List – Simple) offers enhanced features such as pagination, dashboard and CSV export, and alternative group-by options ServiceNow Community

Options:

  1. Use the Chrome workaround to access traditional list functionality
  2. Consider using scheduled reports if your users need regular exports
  3. Wait for the Zurich release for native export and column customization functionality
