I need to create reports and dashboards in Dev and promote them using update sets. I can capture all the reports (contents) in an update set and get those moved. But then I really would like to be able to move the entire dashboard with the contents/layout included.
The only thing I can find about moving a dashboard though only seems to move the dashboard name and tab names - it doesn't auto populate with the report content? Am I missing something?
I am having to rebuild the dashboards in each of our sub prod environments after moving the update set with the reports in it. Is there a better way to do this?

This was made much easier in Kingston: https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/kingston-performance-analytics-and-reporting/page/use/performance...

I've tried walking thru this multiple times and just can't get this to work. I also want to move the entire dashboard (6 tabs), not just a single tab. Hopefully they improve this with Kingston.

Hopefully this works because the current process is more trouble than it's worth (and I still can't get it to work).
The only part that confuses me in this is the step/statement below. I'm not sure why there would need to be a portal page for a dashboard. May be something else new in Kingston.
"Make sure that all the tabs of the dashboard have associated portal pages"
For now - I am moving all the new reports in an update set (adding a note in the description field as an identifier), then rebuilding the dashboard in each environment. Not optimal but gets it done fairly quickly.
