is Platform Analytics and Performance Analytics the same thing?

Anyone know if Platform Analytics and Performance Analytics are the same thing? 

In going through training, you were doing work in under these navigation items.

In our instance I am see there is no Platform Analytics Administration navigation menu.

The only thing I could find that had similar navigation options as Platform Analytics Administration was under the "Performance Analytics" navigation menu.  Trying to figure out if this is just because our instance is old. Or are we missing a plugin or application that still needs installed.

Platform analytics and performance analytics are two different things. Platform analytics is the new reporting capability provided OOTB where performance analytics is a seperate SKU / capability for data snapshots and calculation based on data.
